Encounter #0, Matadero Madrid

The first encounter actually gave birth to Curators Network. (FotoGallery here)

Hablar en Arte invited five curators from Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania in order to create the network, to try out the proposed structure and to interconnect and exchange ideas and impressions for the mutual benefit of all implicated parties: artists, curators and cultural organizations.

In their visit to Madrid from the 28th to 31st of October the curators got a close look to the cultural structure of the city. Among other activities, they realized a portfolio review with 20 artists which are included in the Archivo de Creadores of Matadero Madrid.

Selected artists were: Ali Hanoon; Barbará Fluxá; Busto Bocanegra; Clara Montoya; Dani Silvo; Daños Colaterales; Enrique Radigales; Hisae Ikenaga; Ivan Pérez; Julio Falagan; Kristoffer Ardeña; Los Husos; Maite Camacho; Esther Mañas / Arash Moori; Maya Wanatabe; Miren Doiz; NOPHOTO; Pablo Valbuena; Primoz Bizjak; Rosell Meseguer.

On Saturday, 30th of October, 7 pm. the five invited curators presented themselves and their organizations in a public panel talk at Matadero Madrid.

The Encounter #0 was supported by Matadero Madrid and the cultural centres and embassies of Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania.
