Nothing Special

NOTHING SPECIAL
The work attempts to heal the gap between the artist and the public proposing a space-container and the gesture of mindfully placing matter on a surface in order to be seen by the light. The aim is to reflect on our similarities and differences in relation to such a humble gesture and therefore facilitate the discovery of an aspect much cherished by the artist - simplicity. The structure created by the artist will consist of 5 series of digital images with a landscape quality and 5 stations with the respective matter placed temporarily in personalized cups with the inscription I Am So Special / which the public is invited to empty on a given piece of cloth in order to mindfully reiterate the artist‘s gesture. The concept of the work has its source and theoretical support in classical Buddhist philosophy
