Inés García

Inés García Gómez (Inés García)

"My main way of investigation is about the non- spectacular."

Inés García's main way of investigation is the "non-spectacular", therefore she has realized a series of specific interventions in the exhibition space: 352 stones under a wall, 4meter stick in a corner... In this way of the specific, she left the exhibition room and focus her sight in a stick that moves with the wind or finally in a worm that climbs eating its own thread. All used as metaphoric devices that mirror our own human condition. Then with the allegory as the guiding principle she stare in the landscape of the erotic and use images from movies to tell, imagine or question in a personal way the relationships that emerge in moments of intimacy.

Inés García, studied Fine Arts in Barcelona, and one year at the school of Arts in Bali, after her return, she decided to make a bet on the local context and works between Bilbao and Barcelona. She has participated in several exhibition in Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, Santander and in international exhibitions in Berlin, Montréal and New York.
