Huib Haye van der Werf

Huib Haye van der Werf is a partner and curator for TAAK. He was the curator for the Foundation for Art in Public Space (SKOR) from 2011 to July 2012, the curator for the Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAi) in Rotterdam between 2008 and 2011, and an adviser on visual arts for the Chief Government Architect working together with artists such as Germaine Kruip, Joep van Lieshout and Spencer Finch between 2005 and 2008. Since 2002 he has been the curator of numerous exhibitions such as "Stem Terug! Vote Back!" at de Appel Arts Centre in Amsterdam, and "Jill Magid’s Article 12" at Stroom, Den Haag. He is also an adviser for various committees such as the city of Utrecht, and an author for monthly/weekly editions such as "Artforum", "Metropolis M", "Manifesta Journal" and "Open", as well as numerous artists books. He has a degree in visual arts from the Royal Academy of Art in Den Haag (BA Painting 1994–1998), University of Amsterdam (BA/MA Art History 2000–2004) and took part in the Curatorial Training Programme at De Appel (2004–2005).
