First gathering of Curators' Network finished successfully
All participants enjoyed the first gathering of Curators' Network, held in Matadero Madrid
The first meeting of Curators' Network has been held at Matadero Madrid, Hall 16 from Wednesday 16th to Saturday 19th of November 2011. There has been a portfolio review between the 20 selected artists from Spain or living in Spain and the international curators. Matadero also hosted a public showroom, so that local curators and other cultural professionals could meet the artists personally. At the same time there took place conferences of the invited curators in which they presented their projects and institutions in their respective cities.
This first meeting of Curators' Network in Madrid, Spain, has been addressed to all professionals who work within the field of the contemporary culture with the intention of providing a rich and sustained exchange of ideas that pave the way for future collaborations. We are sure that the networking activities served to boost the exchange of knowledge between Spanish and European professionals that work in the field of contemporary arts.
