Encura #4 - The curatorial collective "CampoBase" is confirmed as the resident in 2020.
A jury composed of the comittee boards of Hangar Barcelona and Curators´ Network chose CampoBase as future resident of the programme-collaboration Encura #4.
Campo Base proposes an ongoing research about the issue of displacement, intended as a shared contemporary experience, in the form of a festival with artistic, performative and theoretical interventions. By reasoning and articulating a new significance on the theme of displacement, CampoBase collective looks for a shift—a different awareness in relation to this contemporary condition that does not limit itself to critically observe its complexities, but to design new opportunities for action. They will work together with Anna Irina Russell (Hangar resident) and Lucía Egaña Rojas (Artistic research grant Fundación Sabadell). The outcome of the project will be a festival articulated by artistic, performative and theoretical interventions.
The runner-up of the Encura #4 open call isTereza Záchová.
Besides the already mentioned, the comittee also preselected the proposals of Krzysztof Gutfranski, Xavier Acarín, Demetrio Henriques Portugal and Lia Carreira.
We sincerely thank all participants of the call and wish CampoBase all the best for their residency at Hangar Barcelona and Planta Alta, Madrid.
